The Board has a rank system or hierarchy set up within it to allow for upward mobility and to provide a clear chain of command.
We feel this contributes to the effectiveness, efficiency, and cohesion of the Board, enabling us to fulfill our missions successfully while maintaining discipline and order.
Because of this we have broken up our membership fees into three categories or types; Staff, Faculty, and Officer.
When a Board Member moves up in membership type they are also required to pay the balance of the fee, or a top up fee, for the next membership level.
For example, moving from a Staff Board Member to a Faculty Board Member or from Faculty Board Member to Officer Board Member, all require a top up fee.
The Board has three membership types. Staff, Faculty, and Officer. Each member is entitled to pay based on their rank. This pay comes from Board fees, events, functions, and Board activities.
In addition, Board members will also receive stock options based on their rank. Board Members will earn votes based on their rank and time in service.
Each type serves a specific purpose and is designed to match your current experience in the workforce. If your current workforce experience will conflict with a membership type, the Board may approve your membership application and appoint you a membership type that matches your current status in the workforce. Take a look below to learn more about each type.
